ISAMATION was designed to provide the capability of rapid in-place compression and rebuilding of one or more T-ISAM files. Periodically, active T-ISAM files should be rebuilt to restore internal structures to optimal performance configurations. As a file grows, its index blocks may require compression to provide faster access to the data. A file may grow so large you will want to rebuild it and return unused internal space to the file system. If a file becomes corrupted due to hardware or software problems, it needs to be rebuilt. ISAMATION solves these problems.

If you aren’t an expert and don’t know what is wrong, but your system is just not working like it should, ISAMATION’s expert design will provide easy to understand information that will allow you to make common sense decisions. ISAMATION can be used to separate the index and data portions of a single T-ISAM file into separate index and data files to obtain maximum file performance. ISAMATION can also be used to alter index definitions to the file. It performs all this much faster than any existing utility.
